Enhancement of cost of memento presented to the retiring officials

                            The Chief Postmaster General, TN Circle, Chennai – 600 002 vide his letter no. WLF/2-304/1 dated 29.02.11 conveyed that the Circle Postal Staff Welfare Board is pleased to increase the cost of mementos presented to the retiring departmental officials from Rs.1000/- to Rs.2000/-and for GDS officials from Rs.400/- to Rs.800/- with effect from 01.04.2012.

There is no change in the accounting procedure.

To honour the retiring officials the memento should be presented to the officials retiring on superannuation as well as on voluntary basis.
