AICPIN for the month of November 2012

The All-India CPI-IW for November, 2012 rose by 1 point and pegged at 218 (two hundred and eighteen). On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 0.46 per cent between October and November compared with 0.51 per cent between the same two months a year ago.

The largest upward contribution to the change in current index came from food items which increased by 0.86 per cent, contributing 1.01 percentage points to the total change. At item level, largest upward pressure came from Rice, Wheat Atta, Goat Meat, Milk, Onion, Potato, Tea (readymade), Snack Saltish, etc. The other items like Cooking Gas, Medicine (Allopathic), Bus Fare, Auto Rickshaw Fare, Flower/Flower Garlands, Tailoring Charges, etc. also put upward pressure in total change.

Please Initialize the Holiday on or before  31/12/2012
( First Enter Weekly Holidays, then Declared Holidays

SanchayPost -> Super ->  Initialisation -> Holidays --> 

This screen is provided to initialise the holidays. They can be weekly holidays like Sunday and also the declared holidays.

• Enter the start date (for eg: 01/01/2013) and end date (for eg: 31/12/2013).
• Select the weekly holiday (Sunday or Saturday) from the list.
• Click on Create button. This will automatically create the holidays with the selected day (Sunday).
• To enter the declared holidays, enter the date in the field from Declared holidays form and also the description.
• (For ex: if the date typed is 26/01/2013, the description should be Republic day and so on). The day will be displayed automatically.
• Now click on the Save button.

• To view the list of holidays click on View button.
• To modify any record in the holiday list, click on Modify button.
• The list of all the holidays entered will be displayed on the screen. Modify the required record and click Modify button.
• To delete any record in the holiday list, select the record and click on the Delete button.
• To exit, click on Exit option in the main menu.

Letter to PMG by Our Circle Union on clubbing the work of SB and MPCM Counters.

Sir,                   Sub: Revised work pattern introduced in Post Office counters resulting in 

                                 Service deficiency –    Kind review and reconsideration is requested

                         Ref: RO. Letter No.SRPA/3-3/Genl/2012/II dt.04.12.12.

               As per the letter cited under reference it has been ordered to perform the duties of Saving Bank in MPCM counters and all work of MPCM counters in SB counters. Regarding this my Circle Union  wants to bring the following points to the kind notice  of  the  PMG  Sir for review  and reconsideration  of this revised work pattern.

              In large offices Saving Bank/Certificates work are undertaken in separate counters by specialized officials having qualified SB aptitude test, having rich experience and knowledge in the SB work. This kind of qualitative work which is very much essential for satisfying the customers coming for SB and Certificates transactions may not be available if this work is done by the non – SB qualified officials.

1. Presently the officials working exclusively in SB and Certificates work are paid SB allowance of Rs.300/- per month. If the SB and MPCM  work are clubbed, the officials will become ineligible to get the above allowance.
2. As the SB work and MPCM work are done by using the separate software definitely the operation for transactions will be getting unnecessary delay, resulting in dissatisfaction to members of public.
3. Moreover separate printers for passbook and MPCM counters are used now. If all the transactions of MPCM counter and SB/Certificate work are done by the same counter there will be a time consuming operation of removing the chord from the one printer to another printer frequently. This will also take unnecessary time of counter PA.
4. When the MPCM and SB/Certificates work are done by the separate set of officials in large offices, naturally the work perfection can be achieved in SB/Certificates work and MPCM work, which will deliver immense satisfaction to the members of public which is very much essential for the growth of our department.
5. This arrangement requires lot of scanners, printers and pass book printers,stationery etc., involving in additional avoidable huge amount
6. When the SB Transactions and other point of sale Transactions are clubbed in all counters naturally the customer coming for even for booking one single registered letter, has to wait even for 15 minutes ,some times it may be more result in discontentment among the members of public.

Hence my Circle Union request the PMG sir, taking  the above points in to consideration and review to discontinue  the  above orders.
