LETTER TO CHIEF PMG ON RELEASE OF LSG PROMOTION

Madam,                   Sub: Abnormal delay in releasing of LSG General Line Promotion-

                                         Early release is requested

My Circle union has been representing so many times to the Circle Administration for

the release of LSG general line promotions. The Circle office was also telling that the

work  is going on in full swing, and the promotion will be released very soon.

Now it is learnt that the pace of the work has been slow down over some issues relating to  fixation of seniority.

Regarding this the DOPT order dated 04-11-1992, clearly stipulates that, the seniority of the regularly appointed official would be determined by the order of merit indicated at the

time of initial appointment and not according to the date of his confirmation.

Adopting  this instructions, the Circle Administration issued the LSG Promotions so far.

As this method is already in force in our Circle and  the  vacancies  going to be filled up

due to this promotion  arisen only after 04-11-1992, the concerned Rule which is in force from 04—11-1992  may please be taken in to consideration and  the  promotion  orders

may  please be released accordingly soon.
