POSTMAN VACANCIES FOR THE YEAR 2013

Limited Competitive Examinations by promotion from among MTS  in Tirunelveli Division      :  03

In accordance with CO letter No. REP/5-1/Exam/Vol II -2013 dated 04/09/2013 

communicated vide RO letter no. REP/6-7/PM/MG/2013/MA dated 05/09/2013, 

The LDC Examination amongst MTS and GDS for filling up the posts of Postmen/Mail Guard for the vacancies of the year 2013 is scheduled to be held on 20/10/2013. 

Last date for receipt of applications by the SAAs                    16/09/2013

Last date for receipt of applications by the Divisional Office  20/09/2013 

Eligibility Criteria:

The following categories are eligible to take up the Postmen/Mail guard examination. 

a)    MTS

i)     MTS who have put in three years of regular service in the grade including the service if any put in erstwhile Group ‘D’ on regular basis as on 01/01/2013. 

b)    GDS

i)       GDS who have worked for atleast five years in that capacity as on 01/01/2013.

ii)     Age limit shall be 50 years as on 01/01/2013 (relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST)

Note:   Age concession for OBC/SC/ST candidates is applicable against                                        respective  reserved quota of vacancies.
