CONFUSION IN TRAINING BATCH DATES- JCA INTERVENED AND SETTLED

           As per the minutes supplied by the Circle Administration to JCA on  16-10-2012, on the side lines of Discussion on Strike notice,  the MACP Training originally scheduled on 15-10-12 and  subsequently changed to 22-10-12 was agreed, to shift  in a later date. But according to the news received from some of the divisions on 19-10-12 this point was not rightly recorded in the revised schedule and confusion arose. The Circle JCA immediately intervened and informed the views to DPS Hqrs through AD[PG],Circle office. The DPS Sir, immediately acted on it and set right the issue. Now it has been decided that , the revised date to the training schedule to start at 15-10-12, will be notified later. And the training batch to start on 29-10-12 will start on this date as it is ie, on 29-10-12.

         The limited departmental competitive Examination in Tamilnadu Circle to the cadre of Postman,and Mailguard will be held on 20-01-2013. Examination will cover the vacancies of 2011,2012,2013. Vacancies will be notified later. Last date for submission of Application is 02-11-2012.

LSG PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS

          DPS HQrs informed to Our Circle Secretary to-day[16-10-12], the LSG General line promotions will be released almost in a week. And the our TN Circle secretary requested the DPS that, those who have already gone to other divisions for want of  vacancies in their home divisions while promoted as LSG,HSG and Post master grade, may please be considered to give re-transfer to their parent divisions if vacancies are subsequently available without attaching the  minimum prescribed time limit of 2Yrs. DPS agreed to consider our request.

CONTENTS OF THE CIRCLE OFFICE INSTRUCTIONS OVER PTC TRAINING AFTER TALKS WITH JCA

           On 16-10-12, Chief PMG [Addl] Smt.Hilda Abraham had talks with the Circle JCA on Strike Notice. Sri.J.T.Venkateshwarlu DPS Hqrs was present. After  the discussions the Circle office issued orders containing following points on Postal Training Centre.
1) Dress code wearing shoes, white dress for yoga classes will not be insisted
2) Yoga is optional
3) Including soft skills Training schedule will be 7 hours.
4) Permission to leave the Headquarters will be granted on Sundays and holidays
5) MACP Training batch to be commenced from 15-10-12, which was already deferred to 22-10-12 will be rescheduled in a later date. But the MACP Training which was originally scheduled to commence on
29-10-12, Subsequently changed to 5-11-12, again re-arranged to commence from original date of 29-10-12
6) The other problems including complaints against DPS,Southern region will be looked in to .

          On getting these issues clinched, the Circle JCA met and unanimously decided to defer the Strike of 18-10-12.  There fore Circle union conveys that there is `NO Strike`on 18-10-12, and conveys whole hearted greetings to those who had stood with the Circle JCA on all these days.

FNPO SECRETARY GENERAL LETTER TO DG ON PTC, MADURAI

                   Sri.D.Theagarajan, secretary general of FNPO has written a strongly worded letter to The DG, dept. posts  on 28-09-12over the tortures and harassment meted out to the Trainees  at Postal Training Centre Madurai by the Director PTC in the past two years and citing the latest incident of Sri. N.Jayakumar, suicide at PTC Madurai, and also reminding earlier representations done to Directorate in this regard , he has demanded the Director -General to conduct a impartial enquiry over these atrocities immediately , and pending enquiry the Director  PTC Madurai must be shifted immediately to ensure the fairness of the enquiry.

Talks with CPMG - Minutes Differs

                The Minutes of the 5-10-2012 Meeting held between Chief PMG and JCA Leaders was supplied to the JCA on 8-10-2012 by DPS Hqrs in person. Minutes was not reflecting the discussion. Mainly following items were twisted in the minutes. 

The Chief PMG said the enquiry will be headed by PMG CCR, but inthe minutes it has been stated as DPS Hqrs. The JCA is not acceptable to this, because both are in the same rank of DPS. 

Secondly, The Enquiry will be confined to only suicide of the Trainee at PTC,contrary to the accepted point in the discussion that all the complaints hither to submitted by the individuals and unions against the atrocities of PTC Director, Madurai will form part of the Enquiry. Therefore this was also not acceptable to the JCA. Contrary to the assurance that ,further Mid-Career development programmes will be kept in abeyance till the enquiry is over has also been changed as for only one week .This is also not acceptable to the JCA. And finally it was mentioned that , the unions agreed to defer the strike to be held on 11-10-12, which was not so.
As the contents of the Minutes not reflected discussions as it is, the Circle JCA met on 9-10-12 ,and decided the following items;

1] To give a reply to the Chief PMG repudiating the contents of the minutes, 

2] To change the strike date from 11-10-12 to 18-10-2012,

3] on 11-10-12 evening meeting at Coimbatore 

4} On 12-10-12 evening meeting at Madurai 

5] Campaign in Chennai city on 15-10-12 and 16-10-2012

6] Wall posters and notices will be issued by Circle JCA 

7] All the employees must
participate this glorious task to arrest the atrocious behaviour of the high handed officers.
