The Labour Bureau, Govt. of India have released the Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers - CPI(IW) for the month of October, 2013. The index now stands at 241 - a rise by three points over the last month.
CPI(IW) Base 2001=100 Monthly Index Letter - October 2013
With 10 of the 12 index values available, the DA/DR from Jan 2014 will be 100%, that is increase of 10%. Considering the current inflation, populist measures expected as the elections are close, the DA rates can even touch 101%. In case the index rise by three points for the remaining two months or even a two for one month and three for the other, the DA fron January 2014 will be 101%

சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்னால் நமது உதவி கோட்ட அதிகாரி ஒருவர் மதுரைக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டார் (அவரின் சொந்த ஊருக்கு அருகில் ) ஏன் எதற்கு என்று யாரும் அறியார். ஆனால் முழு பூசணிக்காயை சோற்றில் மறைக்கும் நமது திருவாளர்கள் சில தினங்களுக்கு முன்னர் தாங்கள் நடத்திய ஆர்பாட்டத்திற்கு கிடைத்த வெற்றி என்று களிப்படைவது வியப்பில்லை.
இந்த மாற்றம் ஏன் எதற்கு என்பதல்ல நமது கேள்வி ?
இதனால் தோழர்களே நமக்கு என்ன பயன் ? என்பதுதான் .
Put Off செய்யப்பட்ட மூன்று தோழர்கள் மறு பணிஅமர்வு செய்யப்பட்டனரா? இல்லையே ? நமக்கு வெற்றி என்பது மற்றவரின் மாற்றத்தில் இல்லை
உண்மையில் தோழர்களின் மறு பணிஅமர்வு தான் (உண்மையில் Put Off Cancel செய்யப்படுவது தான்).
அது அல்லாமல் இலக்கை மறந்து வெற்றி களிப்படைவது வேதனையானது.

The Joint meeting of Postal JCA leaders met and discussed the various issues which create anguish among the staff side. Finally, The Joint Meeting of JCA decided to approach the divisional administration to urge to settle the following issues immediately. As decided in JCA, The issues has been sorted out and bring to the SPOs in the Memorandum for early settlement. The Memorandum was presented to the SPOs today at 1740 Hrs by Shri.S.A.Rama Subramanian, Divisional Secy FNPO P3 Convener of JCA.

HYDERABAD: In a novel initiative, India Post will use short message service (SMSs) alert system to deliver dak to citizens. In the new system, people expecting mail, including Speed Post and parcels, will now get an SMS alert before the local postman delivers them at the designated address. India Post (Department of Posts) is making all efforts to launch the system from December second week in post offices across the state.
"We have named the new system 'Mee Uttaram Vachindi' (your letter has come). India Post has tied up with National Informatics Center (NIC) recently. A trail run has begun at some post offices and we got positive response to the service. Andhra Pradesh will be the first state in the country to launch the free SMS alert system, chief postmaster general, AP Circle, B V Sudhakar told TOI.
With the service fully operational, citizens would not miss their dak or would not have to do the rounds of the local post office. At times, postmen find door lock and return the dak without delivering them. "It has become a headache to postmen to visit houses on more than one occasion to deliver the dak. As a result, dak has been piling up at post offices," he added.
"To avoid these problems, India Post has decided to introduce SMS alert to deliver the dak promptly. However, we will need mobile numbers of both the sender and receiver," the official added.
The postman would send an SMS to the addressee an hour before delivering the mail. After delivering the dak, an SMS would also be sent to the sender stating 'letter delivered.'

"I dedicate this award to my mother," the man called the God of Cricket said. Sachin had made special arrangements to ensure his mother, Rajni Tendulkar, watched his 200th and last Test match against West Indies at Mumbai's Wankhede stadium, which ended today. (Sachin says goodbye with tears)
Sachin, 40, will the youngest recipient of the award. He is also the first sportsperson to be chosen for the honour.
Chintamani Nagesa Ramachandra Rao, who serves as the head of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India, also joins the select list of India's 41 Bharat Ratnas.
An international authority on solid state and materials chemistry, the 79-year-old scientist has authored about 45 books and 1500 research papers in his career spanning over five decades. He is the third man of science after C V Raman and former President APJ Abdul Kalam to be given the Bharat Ratna.
For Sachin Tendulkar the announcement crowned a prolonged and emotional farewell from a tearful nation of cricket lovers. He finished exactly 24 years of playing Test cricket for India yesterday, ending his last innings with a sublime 74. He holds almost every batting record in the book and is acknowledged by many as the world's best batsman ever.
There have been demands for several years now that India's most prolific batsman be honoured as a Bharat Ratna or India's gem. The award is given in recognition of exceptional service of the highest order. It was instituted in 1954.
The last Bharat Ratna was conferred upon Hindustani music doyen Bhimsen Joshi in 2009.

association said in a statement.

The Divisional administration of
Tirunelveli is keep as a mute spectator for long time in the various demands of
the service unions. In this circumstance,
the converner of Tirunelveli JCA Shri.S.A.Rama Subramanian called for the
meeting between the leaders of Tirunelveli JCA today. The Chintan Shivir of
Tirunelveli JCA is to be held on today at the JCA Office (Room No 41, Nellai Lodge,
Tiruenlveli Junction) to discuss the various divisional issues. In this meeting,
the leaders will work out the strategy to pressurize the divisional
administration to settle the long pending issues in our division.

The Holiday on the occasion of
Muharram was listed on Thursday the 14th November, 2013 side Annexure I
of this Department's O.M. No 12/4/2012-JCA-2 dated 5th June, 2012. This
was dependent on sighting of the Moon. It has now been decided that for
offices in Delhi / New Delhi, the Holiday on the occasion of Muharram
will now be on Friday, the 15th November, 2013 and all Central Government Administrative offices located in Delhi / New Delhi shall remain closed on account of Muharram on 15th November, 2013.

Mobile Money Transfer

Mobile Money Transfer is a service that enables instant money transfer
from one place to another place using mobile, through Indian post
offices. The consumer just needs to have a mobile while the actual
transmission of the money is initiated by the Postoffices, using
its special handset. The process for money transfer is very simple
to understand and follow. The remitter (sender) can submit money (Cash
In) at any of the covered post office and automatically, the amount is
transferred to a central position, which can be collected by recipient
customer (Cash Out) from any of the covered Post offices. As soon as the
Cash in happens, both the sender and the recipient get a SMS on their
mobile phones. The sender gets a Transaction ID and a Six (6) digit
secret code in the SMS while the Recipient only gets the Transaction ID.
Recipient can claim the money from any of the covered Post Offices by
showing the Transaction ID that he receives on his mobile in the SMS and
the Secret code, which he gets from the sender. In order to make
process smooth and convenient, a notification sms is being sent to
remitter as well as to recipient regarding transaction irrespective of
their telecom operator.
For this initiative, India's pioneer and largest communication service provider (CSP), BSNL will provide mobile connections to DOP’s designated officials and BSNL will bring Global technology for Mobile Money Transfer. Each Post office shall be provided with a mobile handset with pre loaded application by BSNL’s technology partner M/s Maverick Mobile Solution.
For this initiative, India's pioneer and largest communication service provider (CSP), BSNL will provide mobile connections to DOP’s designated officials and BSNL will bring Global technology for Mobile Money Transfer. From 15th Nov 2013, the Mobile Money transfer to be launched in Tamilnadu Circle. In Tirunelveli Division, 29 Post offices are identified for this purpose. The Mobile devices are supplied to this POs.
