Tenure in Single handed and Double handed offices- Powers extended to Divisional Heads.

          On 22-9-2005, instructions were issued by the department, restricting the officials once already worked  in Single handed and Double handed offices should not be posted back in those offices in their entire service.

But the power for relaxing this condition was vested with the Chief PMG and PMG.
Now this relaxing power has been extended to Divisional Heads vide Department of posts Letter No.8-4/2005-Inv dt.5-12-2012 subject to the following conditions.

1) The Divisional Head should satisfy about the antecedents and Character of the officials.
2) No official should be posted back before a break of full Tenure period.
3) This must be communicated to the Chief PMG or the PMG as the case may be.

Now it is learnt that the pace of the work has been slow down over some issues relating to  fixation of seniority.

Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) October 2012

The All-India CPI-IW for October, 2012 rose by 2 points and pegged at 217 (two hundred and seventeen). On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 0.93 per cent between September and October compared with 0.51 per cent between the same two months a year ago.

The largest upward contribution to the change in current index came from food items which increased by 0.43 per cent, contributing 0.45 percentage points to the total change. At item level, largest upward pressure came from Rice, Wheat & Wheat Atta, Milk, Tea (readymade), Snack Saltish, Snack Sweet, Onion, etc. The other items like Cooking Gas, Electricity Charges, Fire wood, Medicine (Allopathic), Doctors’ Fee, Bus Fare, Cinema Charges, etc. also put upward pressure in total change.
